During our hypnotherapy session, I will use various techniques, such as verbal suggestions, imagery, and relaxation exercises, to induce the hypnotic state. While in this state, individuals are still aware of their surroundings and in control of their actions. Contrary to popular misconceptions, hypnotherapy does not involve being asleep, unconscious, or losing control.
Once in the hypnotic state, I can work with the individual to explore and address specific issues or goals. This may include overcoming fears or phobias, managing stress and anxiety, improving self-confidence, reducing unwanted habits or behaviours, promoting relaxation and pain management, enhancing performance in sports or academics, and addressing various emotional or psychological challenges.
Hypnotherapy is considered a complementary therapy and is often used in conjunction with other therapeutic approaches, such as psychotherapy or counselling. It can be beneficial for a wide range of issues, as it aims to tap into the subconscious mind, where deeply rooted beliefs and patterns are often stored.
